Finally fulfilling my fervent wish to take a ride on a 'chakda'. This jury-rigged contraption seems to be the Gujarati response to the jugaad found in UP
This form of public transport seems to be found exclusively in Gujarat.
Anything is fun after endless days in a bus full of hyperactive children. Their volume levels are set at 'screech' and 'yell'; rarely do they come down to 'scream'. The noisy chakda ride was soothing as a lullaby in contrast!
