Lizzie

Meet my friend Lizzie. She (I presume it is a she) stays in my office loo.During the monsoon she puts on weight, feasting on the plethora of insect life. She stores all the nutrition to get through the lean period of winter when she hibernates behind a tile. Being poikilothermic (cold-blooded) she in inactive in the cold weather. As the days shorten and become cooler before winter, she basks on the grille catching the last few warm rays of the sun before reposing for the night. Just the tip of her tail is visible from behind that tile that she calls her domicile. More on her later.
